What is software exactly? Software is any computer program that provides a function on your computer. This includes the operating system you have. I have Windows 7 on my computer, you may have Windows XP, an earlier version or maybe you have a Mac with Leopard. Any software that you will be working with provides a help function the provide you instruction on how to use the program. Office programs, like Word and Excel have extensive resources from within the program and also on the web. If you go to their official website you will find many tutorials all for free so take advantage of them. Anything I have ever wanted to do in Office, I was able to find a tutorial for. You will some of these websites listed on my resource page.
More and more colleges are transitioning to Google so we will cover Google Docs and Google Sites and how you can best use them to improve your collaborating experience in college. You will be able to take your projects and digitally develop with awesome tools and showcase the results with you class or the world.
In order to join my Tweet Chats you will have to have a Twitter account. Check out their support section on their web site for more information. I have that link posted on the Twitter page. To create an account all you have to provide is your name and email address. So become social and start tweeting. The key to tweeting is you can only use 140 characters per tweet. This makes it harder to express yourself but much easier to have a conversation. Nobody can take over the conversation.
Lastly I want to show you Wallwisher. Wallwisher allows you to post comments, answer questions, ask questions and add content. You can also create your own wall for your own notes or the share with a group.
